| Group
leaders are responsible for the quality of the educational experience which
students enjoy at this museum. The group leader must provide careful guidance
and discipline throughout the tour. If the leader points out matters of
interest to students and discusses with them what they see and hear, both
learning and good behavior will be promoted. For much the same reason,
the leader should make sure that students are quiet and attentive when
interpreters are making presentations. The group leader must also ensure
that students do not misuse or damage artifacts and thereby teach respect
for the historical value of these objects.
Any field trip involves attention to a number of administrative details over and above the academic preparation of the students. One of the most important tasks is the recruiting and briefing of an adequate number of group leaders. So that students may receive the maximum benefit possible from their visit, one chaperone – faculty or parent- should be present for every fifteen children. While touring the site each group of 15 will stay together with its assigned leader. It is very important to assign groups before arrival at Georgia Agrirama. This enables the children to get into the historic site sooner and avoids confusion. Rules and Regulations
